The Astor Home for Children will hold its 7th Annual Dinner on Friday May 9th 2008 at LocustGrove, The Samuel Morse Historic Site, in Poughkeepsie. This dinner,in celebration of 55 years of service to children and families in the community features an evening of wine pairing,
music, dancing and fun.
This year, Astor is thrilled to have Anthony Gargiula and his brother Louis perform. Anthony, the youngest person tosing at Carnegie Hall, has been featured on the Today Show and the Ellen DeGeneres Show! The evening will also be topped off by dancing to the livemusic of the Michael Dell Orchestra.
Astor will honor former members of the Board, Walter Cadette, Mike Mazzarella and Shawn Pratt for their dedication to Astor and to the community. There will be a live and silent auction of fabulous items, including a three night stay at Napa Valley Amadeus Spa & Salon and a one night stay at historic Orient Inn on Long Island’s North Fork.
The two course dinner will be catered by Bridgecreek Caterers, New Paltz and paired with wines from Dr. Konstantin Frank Vinifera & Chateau Frank. Both Bridgecreek and Dr. Konstantin Frank Vinifera & Chateau Frank have donated generously for this event.
